Esole is in the centre of Sardinia, both physically and in the top wines coming out of this exciting island. Federica is only 27, and she has returned to Mamoiada to use her training from Vincent Girardin, Domaine de la Romanée Conti and Domaine Marcoux in CNP.
Mamoiada tradition is at the core of her wines, from a 60 year old family vineyard in the Garaunele District Federica has crafted the ultimate manifestation of Cannonau. One third whole bunch and 10 months in large, used oak this is a serious wine. Orange peel and graphite on the nose, with dark, earthy fruit underneath.
On the palate the tannins are austere but ripe, and it has a lovely sapid, fresh finish. A masterclass in winemaking from this amazingly talented youngster.

After honing her skills and knowledge, Federica returned to Sardinia with her brother to establish Esole. Their winery focuses on creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of Sardinia, combining traditional methods with innovative techniques learned from their international experiences
Grenache / Garnacha
Deliciously, round, fruity and heartwarming, grenache can be truly majestic when done well. Its likeability comes largely from its full body and sensation of sweetness which comes from its high levels of alcohol and glycerol. Expect plump, red fruits, black cherry, baking spice flavours and a hit of white pepper, developing into jammier, stewed fruit flavours in hotter regions.
