also on production and aging
Certainly! Here’s some information on the production and aging process for Jules Gautret Pineau des Charentes Rose:
Production: The Jules Gautret Pineau des Charentes Rose is crafted with meticulous attention to quality at every stage. The process begins with the careful selection of grapes, which are harvested at their peak ripeness. The wine is then fortified, a key step in creating Pineau des Charentes, which involves adding grape spirit to the wine to enhance its flavor and increase its alcohol content.
Aging: After fortification, the wine undergoes a slow and careful aging process in Limousin oak barrels. This aging process is crucial as it allows the wine to develop its complex flavors and smooth texture. The barrels impart subtle notes of vanilla and spice, adding depth and richness to the wine. The Rosé is typically aged for several years, allowing it to reach its full potential and achieve a harmonious balance of flavors
