The Trimbach Pinot Blanc 2015 from Alsace is known for its elegance and balance
Appearance: Mid-yellow with a hint of green.
Nose: Aromas of spiced pear and fleshy white fruits, with no oak influence.
Palate: It has a medium weight with low to medium acidity, offering a clean and clear taste. The wine is dry with a short finish. Some reviewers noted it pairs well with seafood and Asian cuisine due to its acidity and minerality
Overall: While some found it lacking in depth and intensity, others appreciated its refreshing and supple nature, making it a good choice for casual drinking
Maison Trimbach’s viticultural origins date back to 1626, and since then, twelve generations of rigorous winemakers and Ambassadors devoted to the passion for Alsace wines have constantly distinguished themselves by the quality and authenticity of their wines, to patiently develop, from father to son, a solid reputation. The 13th generation joined the estate a few years ago.
Alsace vineyards ? An exceptional region !
Our climate is semi-continental: cold winters, hot and dry summers, sometimes stormy, and beautiful and dry autumns. The sunshine is optimal and the rainfall is very low because it is protected from oceanic influences by the Vosges mountains (in 2020 : Colmar 424 mm of water against 758 mm in Lorraine and 778 mm in France).
The vines planted on the sub-Vosges hills, on the slopes, have an essential impact on the quality of the grapes: drainage, less fertile soils, better exposure to the sun and ideal orientations : South, South-East, South-West. All of these conditions thus contribute to the constitution of the inimitable characteristics of Alsace wines.
Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc, also known as Pinot Bianco in Italy and Weissburgunder in Germany, is a white wine grape that originated as a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir. This grape is known for producing wines that are typically light to medium-bodied with a refreshing acidity. The primary flavors often include notes of pear, peach, raw almond, and lemon zest
The grape’s versatility allows it to be used in a variety of wine styles, from still to sparkling and even sweet dessert wines. Its subtle flavor profile makes it an excellent match for foods with delicate flavors, such as soft cheeses, salads with cream dressings, and flaky fish

The Country
French wine, steeped in history and tradition, offers a rich tapestry of flavors and styles. Bordeaux’s iconic red blends—Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—create wines with structured tannins and notes of blackcurrant, plum, and cedar. Burgundy’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay yield velvety reds and crisp whites. Champagne sparkles with toasty brioche and citrus. The Rhône Valley boasts bold Syrah, while Alsace’s Riesling and Gewürztraminer express floral aromas. From Provence’s pale rosés to Corsica’s sun-kissed Vermentino, each bottle tells a story. Santé!
The Region
Alsace, a picturesque wine region in northeastern France, is renowned for its diverse and flavorful wines such as
- Riesling: World-class and aromatic, Alsace Riesling offers a dry, crisp taste with vibrant fruit flavors.
- Gewurztraminer: Known for its rose-petal scent and full-bodied character, Gewurztraminer is rich and aromatic.
- Pinot Blanc: Delicate and refreshing, Pinot Blanc is a versatile option.
