The Campuget IGP Gard Viognier 1753 2016 is an elegant and expressive wine. It opens with a bouquet of honeysuckle, apricot, orange marmalade, and tropical fruits.

On the palate, it is precise and crisp, with a delightful balance and roundness. The wine’s medium body is generously fruity yet structured, owing its freshness and precision to a pleasant acidity.

The finish is long and elegant, making it a memorable experience for any wine lover

The Campuget IGP Gard Voignier 1753 2016 is crafted from 100% Viognier grapes, harvested at full maturity. The grapes are directly pressed, and the juice is cooled and placed into vats for settling. After the juice is clarified, it is transferred to barrels where it ages for four months.

This aging process in barrels imparts a subtle complexity to the wine. Subsequently, the wine aged in barrels is blended with wine aged in tanks to achieve a balanced profile. This meticulous production process ensures the wine retains its freshness and precision, making it a delightful choice for various pairings.

The Château de Campuget is above all the adventure of a family from the North who came to settle during the war not far from the Mediterranean… in the Costières de Nîmes.

Since 1942, a single objective has driven us: to produce great wines from the Rhône Valley while respecting our terroir and our identity. The rolled pebbles of the Rhône, the southern sun, the Mistral, the Syrah, the Grenache, these are some of the fundamental elements that make up the identity of Campuget.

Our professional ethics are simple: constantly improving the quality of our wines through a better knowledge of our terroir and our vines: yes, everything comes from the vine… Passionate about quality, we develop our blends, our vintages, our wines always thinking about the pleasure they should provide and the emotion they should arouse.

So with the whole Campuget team we wish you a wonderful discovery of our wines and lots of emotions…

Viognier

Viognier, pronounced “vee-own-yay,” is a captivating white wine grape variety with a rich and aromatic character.

On the palate, Viognier is viscous and full-bodied, akin to Chardonnay. Despite its sweet-smelling bouquet, Viognier is typically dry.

Viognier pairs beautifully with delicate meats or scallops flavored with stewed fruit, almonds, citrus, or aromatic herbs

The Country

French wine, steeped in history and tradition, offers a rich tapestry of flavors and styles. Bordeaux’s iconic red blends—Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—create wines with structured tannins and notes of blackcurrant, plum, and cedar. Burgundy’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay yield velvety reds and crisp whites. Champagne sparkles with toasty brioche and citrus. The Rhône Valley boasts bold Syrah, while Alsace’s Riesling and Gewürztraminer express floral aromas. From Provence’s pale rosés to Corsica’s sun-kissed Vermentino, each bottle tells a story. Santé!
