Cuturi
Masseria Cuturi, located in Manduria, Puglia, has a rich history dating back to 1881. It all began when Tommaso Schiavoni Tafuri, a wealthy landowner from Manduria, married Countess Sabini of Altamura. As part of her dowry, the Countess brought Primitivo grape cuttings, which were planted in the fertile Conca D’Oro region of Cuturi. These cuttings thrived, producing a more alcoholic and full-bodied wine compared to other Apulian wines, earning the name Primitivo due to its early ripening.
Over the years, Masseria Cuturi has been dedicated to excellence, incorporating new technologies and earning numerous awards. The estate, now managed by the Rossi-Chauvenet family, spans 270 hectares and includes vineyards, ancient olive trees, and archaeological sites. Today, the family continues to produce high-quality organic wines, preserving the legacy and traditions of this historic estate
