Tequila Patron Anejo showcases the art of aging. Made from 100% Weber Blue Agave, it is distilled in small batches and aged for over 12 months in a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak, and American whiskey barrels. This careful aging process imparts a rich amber color and a complex flavor profile.
On the nose, Patrón Añejo offers inviting aromas of cooked agave, apricot, and spice, with hints of toffee, caramel, and orange. The palate is equally impressive, delivering a smooth blend of oak wood, vanilla, raisin, and honey, followed by a smoky, caramel finish.

Patrón Tequila was founded in 1989 by John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley, with the help of master distiller Francisco Alcaraz. Their vision was to create an ultra-premium tequila that would elevate the spirit’s status from a party drink to a refined sipping experience.
Before Patrón, tequila was often seen as a low-end spirit, primarily consumed in shots or mixed drinks. Patrón changed this perception by focusing on quality and craftsmanship. They used 100% Weber Blue Agave, traditional tahona stone milling, and small copper pot stills to produce a smoother, more sophisticated tequila.
The brand’s distinctive hand-blown bottles and hand-numbered labels also contributed to its luxury image. Patrón quickly gained popularity, becoming a symbol of high-end tequila and setting a new standard in the industry.
In 2018, Bacardi acquired Patrón for $5.1 billion, further cementing its status as a leading name in the world of premium spirits
