Taylors Last Bottled Vintage Port or taylors LBV, is the most popular premium Port style in both England and Canada, representing one in five purchases of Port in the UK and over a quarter of all Port enjoyed by Canadians.
Deep ruby colour. The elegant and stylish nose combines fresh, intense blackcurrant and cherry aromas with subtle notes of liquorice and spice. On the palate the rich and concentrated black fruit flavour is supported by firm but well integrated tannins. True to the Taylor’s style the wine shows great balance and finesse.
Taylor’s Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port was first introduced in 1970 by Alistair Robertson, the current Chairman of Taylor’s. This style of port was created to offer a high-quality, ready-to-drink alternative to vintage port, which requires significant aging.
Taylors LBV port undergoes extended barrel aging before bottling, which enhances its flavors and makes it ready to enjoy upon release. Taylor’s LBV has since become one of the most popular premium port styles in the UK, known for its balance, finesse, and rich flavors of bold fresh fruits and warming spices
