Navas Garden Tonic is a highly fragrant, herbaceous variation in the Navas premium mixer lineup. Crafted in Cornwall using pure Cornish spring water, it was developed to provide a more earthy, botanical alternative to traditional Indian or light tonics. Much like the rest of the Navas range, it is designed to enhance and complement premium spirits rather than mask them, making it an ideal companion for the growing market of savory, spiced, and heavily botanical craft gins.
Flavor Profile & Aroma
Aroma: A highly fragrant bouquet characterized by fresh pine, sweet woody notes, and the earthy scents of rosemary and thyme.
Taste: A beautifully rounded and balanced profile. It blends the robust, savory notes of rosemary and thyme botanical extracts with bright, lifting layers of citrus and the gentle, natural bitterness of quinine.
Finish: Smooth, herbaceous, and deeply refreshing, leaving a clean, lingering botanical note on the palate.
Sustainability & Craftsmanship
Adhering to Navas’s core principles as a certified B-Corp, the Garden Tonic is crafted with high-quality, natural ingredients and contains no artificial flavorings or harsh sweeteners. Continuing the brand’s commitment to the environment, 2% of all sales are donated to the Eden Project to support global plant conservation and sustainability initiatives. The product is also naturally vegan-friendly and gluten-free.
Recommended Pairings
Herbaceous & Juniper-Forward Gins: Pairs exceptionally well with robust, earthy, or botanical-heavy gins. It is frequently recommended alongside craft expressions like Cotton Garden Gin or Padstow Gin. Garnish recommendation: A sprig of fresh rosemary or thyme.
Citrus-Infused Spirits: Provides a stunning contrast when mixed with bright, zesty spirits such as lemon-infused gin or vibrant yuzu gin.
Alcohol-Free Alternatives: Its complex, savory structure makes it a fantastic mixer for non-alcoholic botanical spirits, adding depth to mindful mocktails.
While the original Navas Premium and Light tonics were born out of a 2018 “pub epiphany” in Mousehole, Cornwall, the Garden Tonic represents the brand’s natural evolution. As the craft distilling movement expanded to include more experimental, savory, and complex botanical profiles, the Navas team recognized the need for a mixer that could perfectly balance these robust flavors.
The Garden Tonic was introduced to capture the essence of a traditional English herb garden. The botanical inspiration behind this expression aligns perfectly with Navas’s ongoing partnership with Cornwall’s famous Eden Project, celebrating local flora and the region’s deep connection to nature.

Sat in a cosy pub in Cornwall one Winter’s day in 2018, our founders pondered the absence of craft tonics compared with the ever-burgeoning range of craft gins that were on offer. Musing over the idea of Cornish Tonic Water, the seed of Navas was born..
Working at length with Cornish distillers, they tasked themselves to perfect a Tonic that enhanced botanicals without over-powering them. In reverence of the environment that living in that part of West Cornwall inspires, we knew the recipe needed to start with Cornish Spring Water.
With naturally filtered water (through the granite of Bodmin Moor) and an aim to have as many natural ingredients as possible, our journey led to a discussion with the nearby Eden Project to experiment with growing botanicals in their renowned biomes.
Navas drinks are proud to continue working with the Eden Project and are donating a percentage of every sale, directly to it’s mission.
