Deaths Door Gin is a distinctive spirit that captures the essence of its namesake, the treacherous Death’s Door Passage in the Great Lakes. This gin is crafted with a simple yet effective blend of three botanicals: juniper, coriander, and fennel, which together create a unique flavor profile. The gin is both macerated and vapor-infused, leaning towards a London Dry style but with its own unique twist.

Produced in small batches using a 2,156-liter Carl Pot Still, Death’s Door Gin undergoes a meticulous process. The distillate, which starts at 80% ABV, is gradually diluted with reverse osmosis-filtered water over several months and then rested at bottle proof (47.5% ABV) for an additional month before bottling. This careful production method ensures a high-quality spirit that is both robust and smooth.

On the palate, Death’s Door Gin offers a creamy richness with notes of vanilla and buttered bread, complemented by the bright, sweet spice of fennel and anise. The juniper provides a clean, evergreen note that balances the overall flavor. This gin is versatile in cocktails, enhancing classics like the Gin and Tonic and the Negroni with its distinctive botanical blend.

Overall, Death’s Door Gin stands out not only for its quality and flavor but also for its rich history and the dedication to craftsmanship that goes into every bottle
