Clarksburg

Located in the heart of California’s Sacramento River Delta, the Clarksburg AVA is a unique wine region known for its fertile soils and distinctive climate. Established in 1984, its warm days are dramatically cooled by the “Delta Breeze” flowing from San Francisco Bay, creating ideal conditions for grapes to ripen slowly while retaining vibrant acidity.

While a significant portion of its grapes supply wineries across California, Clarksburg is increasingly celebrated for its own estate bottlings. The region has earned particular acclaim for its outstanding Chenin Blanc, producing a range of styles. Chardonnay also thrives, alongside a diverse palette of other white and red varietals including Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and various Rhône and Iberian grapes. The historic Old Sugar Mill, now home to multiple tasting rooms, offers a fantastic window into this charming and quality-driven region.

  • The Bogle Chenin Blanc 2015 is a refreshing and vibrant wine from the Clarksburg region of California. It displays a pale straw color and offers an enticing bouquet of Asian pear, Golden Delicious apple, and subtle floral notes.
