Ancilla Lugana winery’s history is a story of passion and family legacy, beginning in the mid-1970s when Ancilla purchased two vineyard estates with her daughter, Maria Teresa. Ancilla’s dedication to the vineyards was unwavering, and Maria Teresa continued this legacy by producing high-quality grapes.

At the turn of the millennium, Maria Teresa’s daughter, Luisella Benedetti, faced a choice between selling the family business or embracing winemaking. Despite her career in finance, Luisella chose to follow her passion, learning every aspect of winemaking. Today, Ancilla Lugana winery stands as a testament to the dedication of three generations of women, producing some of Italy’s most elegant white wines.
