Turbiana
Turbiana, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, is a white wine grape variety primarily grown in the Lugana region near Lake Garda in northern Italy. For a long time, it was thought to be a variant of Trebbiano, but DNA profiling revealed that it is closely related to Verdicchio. This discovery has helped to distinguish Turbiana as a unique grape with its own characteristics
Wines made from Turbiana are known for their fresh and delicate notes, often featuring flavors of citrus, green apple, and almond. These wines typically have high acidity, making them crisp and refreshing. Turbiana is used to produce both still and sparkling wines, with the sparkling versions gaining popularity due to their vibrant and lively character
