Arbois

Arbois is an Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) for wines made in the Jura wine region of France, centered around the town of Arbois.

It holds a significant place in Jura’s winemaking history as it was the first controlled appellation to be attributed in France, back in 19361. Arbois is renowned for producing a variety of wines, including red, white, and rosé. Notably, it is also associated with Jura’s famous Vin Jaune (yellow wine) and vin de paille (straw wine) styles.

The town of Arbois serves as the regional wine capital
