Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry is a renowned and beloved fortified wine, celebrated for its rich history and unique blend. Originating from the late 1700s, this sherry is a product of meticulous craftsmanship, combining four different styles of sherry: Pedro Ximenez, Oloroso, Amontillado, and Fino.

The result is a smooth, amber-colored drink with a complex flavor profile featuring notes of caramel, raisins, prunes, and nuts. Its sweet, nutty taste and long-lasting caramel finish have made it a favorite among sherry enthusiasts worldwide.

Despite changes in production over the years, Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry remains a timeless icon, maintaining its British identity while being produced in Jerez, Spain. This sherry is not only a staple during the holidays but also a testament to the enduring appeal of traditional sherry-making techniques

Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry has a rich history dating back to 1796 when William Perry and Thomas Urch established a wine-trading business in Bristol, England. John Harvey joined the firm in 1822, and by the 1860s, his sons John II and Edward developed a new type of sherry known as “cream sherry”.

This blend, which includes sherries from over 30 barrels, became famously known as Harveys Bristol Cream. The name “Bristol Cream” was coined in the 1880s when a customer remarked that if their original blend was “milk,” then this new, richer blend must be “cream”. Today, Harveys Bristol Cream remains a beloved and iconic sherry, celebrated for its unique blend and rich, nutty flavor

Harveys Sherries was founded in Bristol in 1796 by merchant William Perry. During the 19th century, Harveys became one of the largest importers of sherry from the Bay of Cadiz to the port of Bristol. Harveys Bristol Cream, created in 1882 by John Harvey II and his brother Edward, is the result of a meticulous selection of over 30 blends of Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado and Pedro Ximenez grape. It is aged in American oak casks using the traditional system of soleras and criaderas and is a global icon of sherry.
